Eligibility and Opportunities for D Pharm and B Pharm

  1. To study Diploma in Pharmacy, all you need is a pass percentage in class 10 or 12. Since it’s a diploma course, you can join the course  after completing class 10 or 12. Whereas, B Pharm requires a pass percentage in class 12 or equivalent examination.
  2. Also, if you’ve chosen D Pharm in class 10 and wish to study B Pharm then, remember you can join later as lateral entry after completing the diploma degree.
  3. M.Pharm –  A pass percentage in Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) course with not less than 50% marks is required to be eligible for this course.
  4. Pharm.D – The qualification required is 10, +2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with any one of the Mathematics or Biology subjects.

Diploma Courses: 

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) –

The course duration is  2 years and students completing D Pharm can become Pharmacist, Scientific Officer, Production Executive, Medical Transcriptionist, Analytical Chemist, Pathological Lab Scientist, Research & Development Executive and Research Officer. The average salary ranges between 15K to 20K per month.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – 4 years 

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Lateral Entry – 3 years 

Pharm (Hons.) – 4 years 

Bachelor of Pharmacy (Ayurveda) – 4 years 

Students completing B Pharm have wide opportunities in the field of pharmaceuticals and medicine. Roles such as Drug Inspector, Pharmacist, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Quality Control and Production, and  Medical Underwriting. Postgraduate Courses:

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) – 2 years
